PROCESSING YOUR ORDER

We aim to despatch orders within five working days (Monday to Friday) provided the items are in stock and we have no queries that require us to contact you by email to resolve. We try to keep the stock availability as up to date as possible but there may be occasions when we have sold out of items that are showing as available on the site. Please allow 28 days for delivery of your order. We will confirm by email when your order has been despatched.

PAYMENT

We must receive full, cleared payment for an order before we despatch the goods. You can pay using any major credit or debit card. The transaction will show on your credit card statement as Loch Ness Gifts. All transactions are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. We will never ask you to confirm any account or credit card details via email. If you receive an email claiming to be from lochnessgifts.com asking you to do so please ignore it and do not respond.

Security checks will be made with the card issuing Bank prior to despatch of goods and we reserve the right to refuse any order. If you are placing an order with us from outside the UK please advise your bank of the transaction as this could prevent any delays with the authorisation of the payment. Payment will not be taken from your card until the day the order is despatched.

PRICES

The price you pay is the price on our website at the time we receive your order. All prices are quoted in Pounds Sterling (£) and include Value Added Tax (VAT) (where applicable) at the appropriate current rates.

PRIVACY POLICY

As a customer you are important to us, which is why our website has the very latest security features to protect you against credit card fraud. We also promise to respect your privacy. We will never give or sell our mailing list to any third party including any website linked to our own and will use it for our own marketing purposes only. You can opt out of our mailing list at any time by emailing us at info@lochnessgifts.com. All your personal details are held securely and in the strictest confidence. We are a registered data user under the Data Protection Act 1998.

RETURNS POLICY

You have the right to change your mind and cancel your order within seven working days (not including weekends) after the day on which you receive the goods. To cancel you must inform us in writing by email or letter (not telephone) and return the goods to us immediately in a re-saleable condition AT YOUR OWN RISK AND COST. If the goods are not returned we have the right to charge you the direct cost involved in the recovery. You will receive a full refund to your credit/debit card of the original price paid within 30 days at the latest of us receiving your written cancellation. We cannot accept the return of CDs, DVDs and confectionary if the seals have been broken unless they are damaged or faulty.

DAMAGED/FAULTY GOODS

In the unlikely event your goods are received damaged or faulty, please inform us in writing by email or letter within 24 hours and we will arrange for the damaged item(s) to be collected and replaced at our expense. If this isn't practical we will ask for a photo of the damaged item to be emailed to us before we dispatch a replacement.

CONSUMABLE GOODS

No consumable goods ie biscuits, sweets, jams etc can be sent outside the UK.

UK DELIVERY

Orders may be sent in one or more delivery and a signature may be required. All UK orders will be sent by Royal Mail First Class Post. In the unlikely event that your order does not arrive please wait 28 days before submitting a claim to us, we are unable to despatch a replacement or issue a refund until this period of time has elapsed. If you have ordered a large item, please check that your local post office is not holding it for collection or redelivery if noone was at home to accept the item when delivery was initially attempted. If Royal Mail are unable to deliver your order for any reason our address is on all items and will be returned to us. In adverse weather these timescales may have to be extended but we will take guidance from Royal Mail should that situation arise.

INTERNATIONAL DELIVERIES

Orders may be sent in one or more delivery and a signature may be required. International mail will be sent by Royal Mail Airmail but the actual delivery of your items will be the responsibility of the postal service in the country the items are going to. Please wait 28 days before submitting a claim to us, we are unable to despatch a replacement or issue a refund until this period of time has elapsed. If your order was unable to be delivered for any reason our address is on all items and will be returned to us. In adverse weather these timescales may have to be extended but we will take guidance from Royal Mail should that situation arise.

When ordering goods from us for delivery outside of the European Union, you may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once the package reaches your country. We have no control over these charges and they must be borne by you. We would also like our international customers to be aware that cross-border deliveries are subject to opening and inspection by customs authorities.

For goods ordered and sent to a different address as a gift for a third party the cost will be listed on the relevant Customs Labels attached to the package.

Your use of this website is governed by these Terms and Conditions. By placing an order on this website you agree to be bound by the Terms and Conditions. The contract to purchase shall be concluded in English. Scottish Law will govern the contract between us. We may make changes to the above Terms and Conditions without informing you, however these changes will only affect any subsequent orders you place with us.
